flowers Bob's Spicy Cabbage & Beef

4 slices of bacon
1 lb lean ground beef
1-14 ounce can diced tomatoes (do not drain)
1 large onion, diced
1 small green pepper, diced
1 small jalapeno pepper, cleansed of
       seeds and membrane, and diced
1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 tsp thyme
2 dashes Worchestershire sauce
salt & pepper to taste
4 beef bouillion cubes

In a saute pan with a lid, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove bacon, leaving fat in pan. Saute the onion and green pepper until they're limp. Add the hamburger with and jalepeno, and brown the beef. When meat is close to being cooked, add garlic and spices. Stir and cook another 5 minutes. Add tomatoes with liquid, and the cabbage along with 1/2 can of water and the crumbled-up bacon. Simmer at low temperature, covered, until the cabbage is cooked.

Serve with French bread & butter.
