Omaha Bob's Curried Chicken

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts,
    cut into bite-sized pieces
8 ounce plain no-fat unflavored unsweetened yogurt
1 small can diced tomatoes, drained
1/2 Cup (C.) raisins
1 small-to-medium onion, chopped
1 green pepper, diced
1 large ripe banana

2 Tablespoons (Tbsp) prepared curry powder
1 Tbsp garam masala
dash or 2 of cinnamon
1 Tbsp chopped garlic
Kosher salt, fresh cracked black pepper (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Brown the chicken pieces in 2 - 3 Tbsp olive oil. Set chicken aside. Sauté onions and green pepper in same oil until tender. Mash up the banana with the onions and green pepper in the frying pan. Add all remaining ingredients; stir until thoroughly mixed. Sauce will be an orange/ochre color.

Return the chicken to the pan. Cover the pan and cook at low heat, about 1/2 to 1 hour.

Serve over basmati rice that's been cooked with chicken broth, and small amounts of onion powder and garlic.
