D'ya like coffee? SO much that even a picture of a full cuppa coffee makes you feel good? Well, you have to visit Alan Bruce's aromatic, full rich dark-roasted web site! He's got ruminations, publications, prognostications, and coffee beans--lotsa coffee beans! Pour yourself some joe and settle into it.

...

Andrew Dennis' web site is called "The Memory Hole," and I *think* there's some literary significance there but my education isn't good enough -- does it have something to do with 1984? (Orwell's book, not the year) Andrew's got snippets of some of his stories up, some very intriguing and thoughtful essays, and more links!

...

Mark Ferrari is best known as a terrific fantasy artist. But look out -- he's working on a novel!

...

Paula Fleming's site is funny and fascinating and full of information. I love reading her stories. She's been a great source of support and encouragement -- (Said in Sally Fields' voice) she likes my writing!

...

Jim C. Hines is rapidly making a name for himself in the spec fic world; visit his sleek web site here!  Then hop over to my Light Bulb Alley & read his Top Ten Writing-related Neuroses list. I promise I've never exhibited any of those symptoms. Honest. Really. No, really! Anyway, Jim's a great writer--watch for his work!

...

Jon Hodges, youthful over-achiever, is a great guy anyway. If you like weirdness with a half-twist, don't miss his stories, his publications, or his web site. With his Project Pulp site, he's single-handedly battling the evil Lousy Distribution Monster that plagues small genre presses -- and doing a pretty darn good job of it, too! Go help him out!  (Get there via his personal site.)

...

Robert Hole is a multi-talented guy! He's launched Radio-SF, the speculative fiction audio ezine, he's an artist and a writer whose work you can see at his homepage, and he's a biologist and naturalist and teacher. Biology Base, his other web page is a great source of info for anyone who shares Robert's love of wildlife, nature and the outdoors.

...
Tim Jones lives in New Zealand. I keep buttering up these people all over the world, hoping someday they'll send me a plane ticket to come visit them. Until then, though, I assuage my travel-mania by visiting their web sites and reading their writings. Tim's are *well* worth perusing!  Here's his site. (I'd still rather just go to New Zealand and read them on his very front porch, though.)

...

Dreams & Nightmares is David Kopaska-Merkel's magazine, and "one of the oldest SF, fantasy, and horror poetry magazines in existence."  Whether you're a reader or a spec fiction writer, you'll want to check out this site! Doug Lain has a way-impressive list of pro and semi-pro spec fiction sales. This might be because he's also got a heckuva writing talent. How's this for a link to his site:

A religious painting of Christ; click here to get to Doug Lain's web site

...

...

Paul Pence's web site, titled, as far as I can tell, "Paul Pence -- Freelance," is a treasure-trove! Travel articles, restaurant reviews, humor articles, and more -- Tall ships!  I LOVE tall ships! Here I am smack-dab in the middle of the USA, born here, still here after 50 years, and my passion for tall ships is surpassed only by my ignorance of them -- and here's Paul's great article about dozens - nay, hundreds of tall ships -- plus photos! He writes science fiction, too, and writer-info articles... Just go see it. But be sure and have plenty of free time when you do.

...

Spontaneous Things -- complete with a whimsical wandering string running through it (which completely charmed me for some reason, tho' it's not even animated) -- is Karina Sumner-Smith's wonderful writer's journal. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes achingly honest, always vivid and interesting, it makes me glad I've got Karina as a cyber-friend.

...

My buddy Gene Stewart always has pugnacious things to say and unique, intriguing stories to tell. Go check him out!

...

John Trey.  Whoever he really is, he's a regular on the Speculations Rumor Mill. He's brilliant, fun, brave, clean, kind, and reverent. No, wait--that's the Boy Scout Oath. Go see his site for more on the stories he's written, and there's even a picture--but no last name!

...

You'll see his name in the Tables of Contents in Asimov's SF, Analog, Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, and a slew of other great SF magazines.
