I got a late start. Although, regarding the fall of Satan and his legions of angels, I believe is answered in book 1 most accurate with the Bible. "The infernal Serpent; he it was, whose guile, Stirred up with envy and revenge, deceived the mother of mankind, what time his pride Had cast him out from Heaven, with all his host of rebel angels, by whose aid aspiring to set himself in glory above his peers, He trusted to have equaled the Most High" (Book1:35-40). I don't have time right now to delve into the Scriptures to find the exact text which supports the thinking that Lucifer was thrown out of heaven because of his pride and his desire to be equal with God. I believe the account is written in Job. The account of Lucifers' fall in the Bible is written very metaphorically, something about a star falling from heaven. I will try to find the text in Scripture and mail it later. But until I get to your place in the reading, I'll try to update my response to your question.
