Forgive me if I say anything that's been discussed, but I just joined.
In response to the remarks of Adler and Romero:

Your remarks on means/ends and logic in Machiavelli I found vital and
significant.  However, I would like to pose a few questions about
Machiavelli's ethics.  What is just for the Machiavellian sovereign
politician?  Is there a natural law governing ruler from Machiavelli.
